Control Exceeds 10 Million Players, “Bigger Budget” Game Already In Conception Phase

There are many games out there, and many more in development. One game that has caught my attention is Control. It is a free-to-play PS4 game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. You play as the last human who is responsible for keeping your city safe. The game is set up in a way that encourages you to stay in control of your city, all while collecting resources to defend your city.

The new title is now in the works, with a larger budget and a more ambitious vision than the original version. The game is said to be a multi-player, narrative-driven experience that combines elements of role-playing games, strategy titles and first-person shooters.

After the success of the original Control, Ubisoft is already working on a new, bigger and better version of its popular Xbox 360 and Playstation 3-exclusive that is still in the early planning stages. And this one will be better than the first because the company will use the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles, which are more powerful than last-gen consoles.. Fans of Remedy Entertainment’s newest supernatural action-adventure series, Control, will be pleased to learn that the company has released a press release with some exciting news.

Control has succeeded to reach a large audience, according to Remedy Entertainment CEO Tero Virtala, who also disclosed different financials in the announcement. Since its original release in August 2019, which doesn’t seem that long ago, the game has reportedly been played by over 10 million users.

Control was initially released as a year-long PC-only exclusive for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store. The game was subsequently released on Steam as part of the Ultimate Edition, which included extras including the Foundation and AWE expansions. More recently, next-gen Control versions for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles were produced, including ray tracing, higher frame rates, and other enhancements.

Remedy Entertainment and publisher 505 Games have struck a co-publishing and development deal for a new “bigger-budget” Control game, according to Virtala. The title, which is presumably a straight sequel, is already in the early stages of development.

Condor is a similar project being developed by Remedy Entertainment. Condor is a multiplayer spin-off set in the universe of Control that will let four players to join up in cooperative PvE battles. It was announced in late June.

Control is still being aggressively promoted. Control Ultimate Edition was announced for Google Stadia and released on July 27th, after the reporting period. Control was also featured in Epic Game Store’s Mega Sale 2021 as a limited-time freebie. Overall, new platforms, services, and special offers teach us important lessons for the future, generate extra income, help us reach new audiences, and raise brand recognition for Control.
