Cyberpunk 2077 – Dream On Quest Bug

Cyberpunk 2077 Dream On bug – The Dream On quest seems to be a buggy for many Cyberpunk 2077 players. Here’s how to fix it.

The Dream Quest is a buggy in Cyberpunk 2077.

What is the error in section?

It’s been almost two weeks since Cyberpunk 2077 came out, and I must say it’s probably one of the hardest launches I’ve ever seen in my life. I really don’t want to go back there. Because I’m sure the whole world knows what’s going on.

There are already a lot of bugs in the game, and there are more and more every day. But I’m talking specifically about the Dream Beetle on a mission. There is a place in the mission where you will be asked to follow the wires. And then the mission goes wrong. According to players who know about this bug, the next steps of the mission do not match, even after tapping the cables.

Here is the correct description of the error by a user of the CDPR forum named /zodiaxzz :

I’m dreaming about the quest now, and I’ve taken a step in the quest, but it’s not like the game acknowledges that I’m not allowed to move forward in the quest. I tried to stop and restart the game without success, does anyone know how to do that?

There are many comments in the mail from other actors who have the same problem. Here’s one from /Khelsi_OReilly:

Hello,

One more time. I’m on… follow…. I’ve already followed them, scanned things and got out of the apartment. But when I go outside, there’s no sign or tracker, just one of the wires to follow.

What I’ve done so far: I reloaded the previous backup set and restarted the game, but without any changes. Let us know.

The CDPR said they’ve already fixed most bugs with the latest patch v1.05. But either they didn’t seem to be telling the truth or they forgot. I can only imagine how frustrating that is.

To solve the error dream for error.

Update : Patch 1.07 will be available soon. We’ll put the patches here.

The good news is that this bug has already been repaired. And so far, it has worked for most players who have tried it.

This correction was suggested by the user of the CDPR /McRaoul forum:

For those who are addicted to following cables, you must first find the hidden part, then the antenna on the roof. CD Project Red did not take into account the fact that the antenna can be found outside the hidden room by climbing out of the house. This game seems rushed. Just charge, find the hidden room, go up the stairs and scan the antenna to be gold.

Another user of /Jenn_Zed has developed this fix even further:

I made the same mistake by following the cables when I found the room and the transmitter on the roof before scanning the objects on other parts of the mission.

So I downloaded a first automatic backup when I first talked to Elizabeth about visiting the apartment. I then scanned the bullet holes in the corridor wall and the first bloodstain on the floor, went to the ISS security room downstairs, got the password from one computer and opened the secret door to the second computer, then went back upstairs and found the next set of bloodstains, I scanned the smart glass wall panel, then went into the secret room, scanned the first aid kit and after Elizabeth had a headache, I scanned the mysterious technology on the wall and followed the wires to the roof and the microwave transmitter.

The mission performed each step in that order.

I’m going out of the apartment to find the van.

Of course you can wait until the CDPR releases an official patch. But given the seriousness of the current situation, I wouldn’t count on it. If the solution is right for you, please give us the comments below.
