Mission Talk to Doom Doom is involved in the second Cyberpunk 2077 conflict. Is there a problem? Well, let’s see.
Doom Doom disappeared during the second conflict mission in Cyberpunk 2077
It’s been almost two weeks since Cyberpunk 2077 came out, and I must say it’s probably one of the hardest launches I’ve ever seen in my life. I really don’t want to go back there. Because I’m pretty sure the whole world knows what’s going on.
There are already a lot of bugs in the game, and there are more and more every day. But I’m talking more specifically about the bug in the Second Conflict Mission. There’s a part of the Second Conflict Mission where you’re asked to speak to Doom Doom. But the mission is buggy for many players in this game. As a result, the dam is missing for many of them. Actually, he’s not missing. Of the three guys in front of you, Dam Square is the one on the left. He has to get up and show that he’s Dum Dum.
Here is the correct description of the error of a user of the CDPR forum named /trip9 :
I’m playing PS5, patch 1.0.5. I take the elevator to the entrance of Totantanz, but when I get to the door, I get a mission report to talk to Doom Doom, but he is not there, there are only 3 Maelstorms with the label Fanatics. No way to continue the mission.
I tried to rescue and reload from different points, I tried to go back to the mission and play from there, I tried to grab the bug and move fast (as soon as I left the area, no exclamation marks show me where to go).
I’m really angry, I’ve fought with glitches and other small problems, but so far I haven’t been touched by anything that could break the game. Right now I can only get my money back for the game. Does anyone know if you can keep your savings if you can?
This prevents players from making progress in the game, as this is the most important quest. The CDPR said they’d already fixed this bug with the last patch v1.05. But either they didn’t seem to be telling the truth or they forgot. I can only imagine how frustrating that is.
Has the problem already been solved?
There is a solution to this error. But I’m not sure I want to call it a solution. It’s more of a detour. The CDPD has officially announced that it is investigating the second bug in the conflict and has recommended a workaround for the time being:
We are currently investigating the case of Dum Dum, who disappeared during the search for the second conflict.
Follow these steps as a possible workaround (note that an earlier run is required):
- Load the game before calling Nancy on the previous Holdin’ On task.
- A little trip to All Products.
- Call Nancy and continue the search, find out if Doom Doom is present during the Second Conflict Quest.
But there’s a problem. So far only one user has confirmed to me that this workaround works. Forum user /Nux said:
It works very well! Thank you very much.
You do not need to install version 1.04. Just go to the All Foods station and call Nancy from there. That’s all I’m saying.
You don’t have to go to All Foods or anything. Just get to the station before you call Nancy.
PS: If you need directions to All Foods, there’s a map here.

Of course you can wait until the CDPR releases an official patch. But given the seriousness of the current situation, I wouldn’t count on it. If the solution is right for you, please give us the comments below.
