Xûr, a merchant of unusual wares, has ulterior objectives. He bows to the Nine, his distant lords.

What exactly is an Xûr?
Agent of the Nine, Xûr, is a strange vendor who randomly appears in a Public Sector on one of the Worlds. Xûr sells Exotic equipment and only takes Legendary Shards in exchange for them.
TL;DR: He’s Destiny’s Santa Claus, and every weekend is Christmas for him. He provides you what you desire part of the time, and occasionally he brings you coal. The majority of the time, it’s coal.
When does Xûr come to see you?
