The price of power in GWENT, the popular card game from CD Projekt RED, has always been high—but now it’s reached a whole new level. GWENT: The Witcher Card Game’s latest expansion, Once Upon A Pyre, will be available on October 12, 2017, and will have a cost of 250 Polish Zloty (about $34 USD at the time of this writing).
Long awaited, the first expansion for GWENT has arrived. “Once Upon A Pyre” was developed by a small team of developers, with a small budget and a small time frame. But to ensure that they have a chance to fulfill the promise that could be made by “Once Upon a Pyre” (and to remain true to the original vision of the game), the investment was made. All stretch goals, with the exception of those already achieved, will be achieved in the course of this project.

This expansion set includes three story expansions for a lengthy card game. Each theme revolves around magic, with different factions seeking, fighting and using their power. Once Upon A Pyre brings 26 new cards that continue the story of the Prize of Power game. It is now available as a free download on PCs, Apple M1 Macs, iOS and Android devices.
