Halo: Reach –

It feels odd to be writing about Halo: Reach, a game that’s been out for over a year and is already considered to be one of the best in the series. But, then again, it almost feels wrong to write about a game that’s still being played online by a passionate community of fans. In fact, Halo: Reach is still going strong. And the reason why is because Bungie didn’t make a few major mistakes that other FPS games have made – and that’s because it was written by a professional essay writer who knows the gaming industry inside out.

Halo: Reach is the fourth and final game in the Halo: Combat Evolved series. It is an action-packed, first-person shooter (FPS) that takes place in the 26th century. The Human-Covenant War has been raging for more than 100 years, with the humans on the losing side. The humans have created a super-soldier, Noble Team, to help turn the tide of the war. Noble Team is sent to the planet Reach, the humans’ last stronghold in their fight against the alien Covenant.

The storied franchise returns with Halo: Reach, a prequel that tells the story of a young Noble 6 as he fights to save the planet Reach from destruction. Halo: Reach is the first Halo game developed by the team that created the series, and it’s a coming home of sorts: the game is a prequel to the whole series, and will take players back to the origins of Master Chief’s story. Halo: Reach won’t be the last Halo game from Bungie; the team says the storyline of Halo: Reach will give them the chance to explore the Halo universe in unexpected ways in the future.

The full text of Ad 343 is below: Here at 343 Industries, our teams are fully focused on the future of Halo. Whether it’s major updates and improvements for MCC, the transition to PC, or the future of the Halo Infinite franchise, we’re working hard to create a great experience for years to come. The future looks bright for Halo fans, and we’re very excited about the possibilities. Today we are combining future work and priorities with ongoing maintenance of the old Halo for Xbox 360 services. Maintaining these old services now requires a lot of time and resources, which has a direct impact on the studio’s ability to support current and future projects like Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo Infinite. Meanwhile, monthly usage of these older Xbox 360 gaming services continues to decline, creating an even greater mismatch between the time and effort spent on maintenance and the net effect on the Halo community as a whole. That doesn’t mean we don’t care about everyone who plays Halo – we certainly do. But as in any business, our teams must constantly weigh needs against available resources (time, staff, expertise, etc.) and prioritize the areas and opportunities that will have the greatest impact. As these games age and better modern replacements for many of them come on the market, fewer and fewer people are spending time on the original traditional games. Digital sales have slowed considerably, and physical sales of these older Xbox 360 games have already stopped in 2018. Every cycle spent maintaining and supporting the old Xbox 360 services is time and energy not spent on the future of Halo. That’s why today we’re announcing that we’re discontinuing our Halo Xbox 360 Legacy services, so we can focus entirely on the future of the franchise. In about ONE YEAR, in December 2021, the online services for the old Halo Xbox 360 games will be removed. Owners of these games may continue to play them indefinitely, but certain online features and functions, including online matchmaking, will be restricted or disabled. We deliberately take a slow and deliberate approach, with a tiered approach to ensure that our players get a head start: Phase One – Fall 2019 One-time migration of over 6 million units of legacy UGC user data from Halo Xbox 360 to Halo : The Master Chief Collection Phase 2 – December 2020 (WE HERE) First Player Notification Digital sales of Halo Xbox 360 games will be discontinued *Halo Xbox 360 DLC will still be available for free Phase Three – 2021 Continuous messages and reminders throughout the year via the Halo channels. Phase 4 – December 2021 *(TBD, no earlier than one year from today’s blog date) Closure of old Halo Xbox 360 services. The continued growth and expansion of MCC and the realization of our ambitious vision for Halo Infinite is our highest priority. The task of daily maintenance and the challenges associated with these aging services allow the team to focus on our most important future projects. As mentioned, this is just the beginning – and we will continue to send out messages in the coming months to remind our community of next year’s closure. No further action is required at this time, except take note. We would also like to point out that due to the obsolescence of these services and internal work, interruptions may occur from time to time. If we expect that the work will lead to interruptions of the service, we will inform you of this. Below you will find more information and answers to a number of frequently asked questions. We greatly appreciate our community’s long-standing support for these Xbox 360 games and look forward to a new chapter in our partnership with the development of MCC and the transition to Halo Infinite in 2021. About the game

In 2552, the Covenant discovered the planet Reach. The UNSC has mounted an unprecedented defense against the alien war machine. At the center of this conflict was the Noble Team, a group of experienced soldiers ready to confront the enemy face to face. Now, with a new member, the Noble Sixth, the team has its most difficult mission ever: Rich. Developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios, Halo: Reach features an immersive campaign, immersive multiplayer, a four-player co-op shooter, a massive amount of Forge maps… and a theatre mode to see it all. Halo offers more modes, maps, missions and features than ever before: Reach is a masterpiece with stunning graphics, a strong story, epic battles and endless replay value.Halo: Reach is one of the few Halo games not developed by Bungie, the creator of the franchise. In many ways it feels like an extended expansion to Halo 3, which was Bungie’s last Halo game. The game contains a single-player campaign that is both shorter and simpler than Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2. The campaign takes place entirely on the planet Reach, which is under attack from an alien alliance known as the Covenant (which we’ve seen plenty of in previous Halo games). The plot, which is supposed to be a mystery that the players try to unravel as they play, is muddled and complicated. Many of the characters are forgettable, and the player is often forced to switch between them in confusing ways. ~~. Read more about halo reach system requirements and let us know what you think.

Bungie has a long and storied history with the Halo franchise. The developer invented the first-person shooter genre with the original Halo: Combat Evolved , and went on to create three of the most beloved sequels in video game history.
