Two needed – Startup error – Game does not start – Fix
The game only supports Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
It is not supported by Windows 7. This means that you must have version 8.1 or 10 to play this game without problems. But from what I’ve heard, even 8.1 users have minor issues. So Windows 10 is your best bet. This problem could not be solved because the developers themselves did not consider it necessary to make the game compatible with Windows 7.
So if you’re still using Windows 7. I suggest you upgrade to Windows 10. It can’t hurt to try, right?
If you are using old graphics card and chipset drivers, I recommend you update them. I have personally experienced this problem with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. When the game came out, I couldn’t get it to work on my computer all day. I tried to correct a few mistakes left and right. I finally updated the chipset driver. I already had the latest graphics driver, so I was sure that wasn’t the problem. After installing the latest AMD chipset driver, I quickly restarted my computer. And I haven’t had a single problem with the game since. So make sure your drivers are up to date.
Your anti-virus software may block the game or crash before it starts
In some cases, data stored in the game may be silently quarantined by some antivirus programs, causing the game to crash on the desktop before booting. The developers are working on a solution to this problem, but in the meantime you may need to disable the real-time scanning or real-time protection feature of your antivirus program to play.
If you use Windows Defender instead of third-party AV software, here’s how to add Star Wars Squadrons to your Windows Defender exclusion list:
- Go to Windows 10 settings
- Click on Update and Security
- Select Windows Security from the left sidebar
- Click on Virus and Threat Protection
- In the Virus and Threat Protection section, click Manage Settings.
- In the Exceptions section, click Add or remove exceptions.
- Click on the Add Exception button
- Select the file
- Select the .exe file or executable file It Takes Two, which in this case should be ittakestwo.exe.
- Restart your computer
Damaged or broken game files can be easily recovered
If I’m not mistaken, the PC version of It Takes Two is only available on Steam and EA Desktop/Origin for download. Learn how to restore the game on multiple launchers here:
- Open origin
- Access to my game library
- Pick two.
- Click on the Settings icon
- Choose repair
- Go to your Steam library
- Right click on It Takes Two
- Select the properties
- Click on the Local Files tab
- Click on the Check Integrity of Game File button.
- Computer consultant
- Go to my collection
- Click the right mouse button.
- Choose repair
- Restart EA Desktop when the process is complete.
EAoffice users go back to Origin
EA Desktop was only recently introduced. He’s there to replace Origin completely, but not right away. EA Desktop still has a lot of problems. Many games are not even compatible with this new launcher.
So it’s best to go back to Origins for now. Sure, Origin doesn’t have a lot of features, but there’s no denying that it’s much more stable than EA Desktop.
Try running the It Takes Two executable file as administrator.
Try running the It Takes Two executable file as an administrator. Here’s how:
- Navigate to the installation folder under This takes two.
- Right-click on ittakestwo.exe.
- Click on the Compatibility tab
- Select the Run this program as administrator check box.
Try reinstalling, it takes two (only if the other method does not work)
If none of the above solutions work, reinstallation is your last resort. Gambling institutions make mistakes all the time. The file may have become corrupted during the installation process. And maybe that’s why the game doesn’t work for you. Please reinstall the game again.
Make sure you empty the temporary folder before reinstalling.
- Go to the Start menu on the desktop.
- Press the Windows+R key simultaneously.
- Type %TEMP% and press Enter.
- Select everything (Edit > Select all or Ctrl+A).
- Click on the Remove button.
Waiting for patches from Hazelight Studio
It Takes Two is a brand new title and is not one of the genres EA regularly works with. If I’m not mistaken, It Takes Two is probably the biggest game Hazelight Studios has made to date. So the bugs are glitches, which is understandable at this point. Hazelight Studios is a fairly small studio that doesn’t employ many developers. So be patient and give them time. I’m sure they’ll release a patch soon to fix the crashing.
