What Are High Level Duties in Final Fantasy XIV? –

In the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, there are a number of different jobs available for players to choose from. Each job has its own set of duties and responsibilities, but what exactly is each job’s role?

Final Fantasy XIV is an MMORPG that features a world with high-level duties. The game has many different types of quests, and the quest givers are the people who can give you these quests.

In Final Fantasy XIV, the phrase “high level duties” refers to raids and trials that are more challenging than the normal difficulty setting.

XIV is designed to appeal to a wide variety of gamers. There’s the thriving, (mainly) laid-back crafting/gathering scene. We have the glitz-obsessed roleplayers who make the most of the game’s plethora of costume choices.

Of course, there are the swarms of adventurers eager to test their mettle against huge monsters and vast dungeons.

However, for other players, that challenge is insufficient.

They’ve put on their finest gear, memorized their rotation from start to finish, and now it’s time to put their ability to work in a group of like-minded individuals to the test. Extreme Trials and Savage Raids in XIV cater to such players as well.

These are essentially beefed-up versions of the regular content, intended to test raiding parties.

In Final Fantasy XIV, what is a Static?

It may be difficult to complete regular current raids and trials, particularly if you’re using Duty Finder groups that aren’t matched.

Even when everyone is doing their part, communication may be difficult.

This is why, in Extreme or Savage content, players that want to advance will often create a “Static” to accomplish their objectives.

Statics are pre-determined groups of players who perform particular duties. They’re most often found in Free Companies (XIV’s equivalent of a guild system), although they may also be discovered in other ways.

Joining a static has the advantage of consistency.

Every time you tackle the material, you’ll work with the same group of individuals. This makes it simpler to identify what’s wrong and why it’s happening.

It frequently allows you to learn and make errors more freely than in a matchmade group, where people are less patient.

Where Should You Begin When Clearing High-Level Responsibilities?

The first step is to educate yourself. That is something I cannot emphasize enough.

Expect to not be able to jump right into this and finish it on the first attempt.

Begin by gaining a thorough knowledge of your work and the equipment and statistics you should prioritize.

Make yourself as confident and strong as possible inside it, and make sure your rotations are firmly ingrained in your mind.

To double-check your meld priority and rotations, I suggest utilizing a site called Salted XIV.

Then there’s the matter of learning the battles.

Take a look at some of the videos on YouTube that concentrate on XIV’s endgame content to get a sense of what you’re in for.

Learn how the battle should go and what your part is in it by doing some research.

The reality is that if you’ve raided in an MMO before, you won’t be surprised by anything.

Even the best-matched groups will break apart half of the time. You’ll probably wipe many times.

However, this is essentially XIV on hard mode. So, if you’re up for the task, it’s definitely doable.

If you’re serious about advancing through High Level Duties, I’d recommend getting yourself into a static.

Half the challenge is having a steady team with clear communication and patience.

If you can’t find a static, there are plenty of raiding guilds that will take you along if you’re fully equipped and ready to go.

Extreme/Savage Mechanic Changes Examples

Ifrit is my favorite example of this.

He’s the game’s very first Trial, and he takes you through a variety of techniques that all revolve around the same subject.

If you bring him to half health in the regular form, he’ll generate an Infernal Nail. If the Nail is not destroyed in time, Ifrit’s next assault (Hellfire, his trademark technique) will wipe the group out.

Around level 50, we get The Bowl of Embers (Hard), which is essentially the same encounter with some more severe adjustments. Ifrit has more attacks, which are more powerful, and we have twice as many players to battle him with.

He produces four Infernal Nails instead of one, and if they aren’t all knocked down in time, he may easily finish the battle.

Sure, it’s a challenge.

But it pales in comparison to the Extreme version.

Although it’s now obsolete, it was originally endgame content for A Realm Reborn, and it represented the game’s most difficult challenge at the time.

Extreme adds a lot of spice to Ifrit’s life.

His Incinerate strike delivers a stacking debuff that reduces everyone’s maximum HP. This compels the tanks to switch who is in charge of aggro in order to keep their health from being depleted.

Attacks like Eruption, which could previously be stopped, have now become uncontrollable and act in unexpected ways.

Then there’s Hellfire, of course.

Hellfire is now cast three times throughout the fight, each time with Infernal Nails to deal with.

Each time, the number of Nails grows, until there are thirteen in total. In addition, when they are destroyed, they inflict damage and apply a debuff to players that are trapped in their path.

And if that wasn’t enough, after all three rounds of Nails have been destroyed, you must kill Ifrit before he can spell Hellfire, which will always wipe the party, no questions asked.

As you can see, Extreme and Savage material may result in very different fights.

When we challenge Ifrit on Extreme, we receive a pretty simple version at first, which soon turns into a nightmare.

It requires practice, commitment, and communication to overcome these obstacles.
