Sony continues to show off upcoming games, including the highly anticipated Spider-Man and God of War. The company also announced that it will move away from E3 in 2022! What does this mean for gaming?

The “sony xperia 1 ii price in india” is a phone that has been released by Sony. The phone was announced on June 4th, 2022 but it’s not yet available for sale.

While I still cry every year when there isn’t an E3 to offer gamers Christmas in the summer, I’m glad we have these broadcasts from big companies to replace the void. In that vein, we’re here to take a look at Sony’s State of Play for June 2022! Normally, we’d simply go through the highlights, but we’re going to approach things a little differently this time.

We’ll still talk about the important news, but I’ll provide my two cents on everything, including evaluating each of the announcements on a scale of one to 10, ending in a total score for the broadcast. These ratings will be determined by the announcement’s amount of hype, the quality of the information revealed, and my general enthusiasm for the game or DLC. After all, this is a review. Alright? Alright. Let’s get this party started!

The Announcements from Sony’s State of Play in June 2022!

If you’d rather watch the whole thing before reading on, we’ll start with the entire stream. By the way, I always watch the stream first before doing anything else. I’ll be patient.

Are you ready to go? Let’s chat about some announcements!

Remake of Resident Evil 4

It’s true! The RE4 remake is in the works, and we’ve seen some playable footage. They demonstrated several classic sequences on the new engine and announced that it would be released in 2023. It will also include PSVR content, which is exciting!

This one gets an 8.5 out of 10 in terms of hype. I’m a fan of RE4, and for some folks, this news is a ten, which I am glad for!

The Return of RE Village is Coming to PSVR 2

I was expecting to hear anything about the DLC here, but sure, I’d play RE Village in VR again, so this is okay, but not extraordinary. There’s no word on whether it’ll be free for existing owners or how that would operate.

I’m going to give this one a 7 out of 10 for hype.

Retribution for the Walking Dead Saints and Sinners is coming to PSVR 2.

The first installment of this game is a VR classic, and the sequel looks promising! Coming to PSVR 2 sounds excellent to me, and it’ll be released in 2022, so does that mean PSVR 2 will be released this year?

Here, the hype level is 7.5 out of 10. I’d want to see more of what distinguishes this from the previous.

No Man’s Sky 2 is coming to PlayStation VR.

Listen, I like how far No Man’s Sky has progressed, and I’ll most likely play it with PSVR 2, but this isn’t revolutionary. It was inevitable; after all, it’s already available on PSVR. On the hype scale, I give this a five out of 10.

The Mountain’s Horizon Call

The PSVR 2 Horizon game has seen some action, and it looks fantastic. It maintains the action of the standard game while providing stunning visuals.

Horizon Forbidden West received a major upgrade today as well, including new game plus features and other enhancements. On a scale of 1 to 10, this gets an 8 out of 10.

The Amazing Spider-Man is coming to the PC!

This is obviously a ten out of ten announcement for PC gamers, but the fact that it won’t include Miles Morales strikes me as odd. On the hype meter, I’m going to give this one a 5 out of 10.

Gameplay and Release Date for Stray

Because it’s a cyberpunk cat game, Stray has always gotten a lot of attention. I’m excited about it, but the current trailer’s visuals aren’t nearly as amazing, and the gameplay seems to be ordinary stealth and exploration. Maybe it’ll show me how wrong I was.

On the hype meter, I’m giving this one a 7 out of 10, but it’s coming out on July 19th, which is good.

When will the Callisto Protocol be released?

Callisto Protocol is intriguing since it comes from the creators of Dead Space, and it looks just like Dead Space! Despite the basic nature of the space zombies, I can see this one being effective in terms of atmosphere and shocks.

On the hype meter, it gets an 8.5 out of 10.

This seems to be a nice looking rollerskating game with firearms set in a futuristic bloodsport. I like it, but it’s nothing spectacular. On the hype meter, it’s a 6 out of 10.

This anime action game contains a dating sim aspect as well as a lot of flair. I enjoy the appearance and feel of it; it reminds me of Persona. It’ll be released in 2023, and I’m giving it a 6 out of 10 on the hype meter.

Street Fighter 6 is a fighting game developed by Capcom.

This announcement is another nice one for fans. Street Fighter 6 is a fighting game developed by Capcom. is coming in 2023 and it seems to have a full explorable world now and hopefully a story? It looks more involved than prior entries, so I’m intrigued.

I’d give it a 7 out of 10 on the hype meter.

PS5 Is Getting a Tunic

Tunic is an excellent one-person game, but it’s not without flaws and has been available on Xbox for quite some time. It’ll be released on PS5 in September, but I saw this one coming a mile away.

Nothing against the game, but this isn’t exactly breaking news. I’d give it a 4 out of 10 on the hype scale.

A Letter to the Future (Season)

This is a moody and artistic game about taking photos and recording sound before the end of a season which really feels like the end of the world. I like this kind of stuff and will check it out. It’s I’d give it a 7 out of 10 on the hype meter.

A new trailer for Final Fantasy XVI has been released.

A new trailer for Final Fantasy XVI has been released, and the game looks fantastic. I like how massive the summons are and how much damage they do. Summer 2023 will be here before we know it, and I’m excited!

However, on the hype meter, this is an 8 out of 10, since there isn’t anything new here.

My Overall Score for the State of Play in June 2022

Even though this wasn’t intended to feature anything from the first party, I was still expecting more surprises to be honest. This didn’t quite touch home the way I had wanted, but we did see several interesting things.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this a 6 out of 10. To improve that grade, further surprises and a PSVR 2 release date would have been nice. What were your thoughts on it? Let us know what you think in the comments!
