In the world of League of Legends, there are many different champions to choose from. Each champion has a unique set of skins that change their appearance and stats. Some have more than others, but Wukong is one of the few who can boast with having multiple skins in each rank.

The wukong chromas is a skin that was released in the League of Legends. It has been ranked as one of the best skins in the game.

If the Internet has taught me anything, it’s to embrace the monkey.

However, the holy texts make no mention of dressing up the monkey to suit my tastes, so here we are.

Let’s evaluate and analyze Wukong’s skin line to see which ones are the most deserving of your affection, taking into consideration their designs, features, and price tags.

Wukong, General

Riot Games is responsible for this image.

Date of Publication: July 26th, 2011 The cost is 750 RP.

I’m not going to lie, this skin was a letdown.

It has one of the finest splash images, with Wukong appearing like a bloodthirsty warrior about to face down an entire army, yet it fails miserably in-game.

We can see flames flowing from his shoulder piece and the tip of his staff in the splash image. In addition, his hair is yellow, and his clothing looks menacing.

None of this, however, applies to the in-game character model.

It seems to be the standard Wukong who happened to come upon a Skyrim gear set or something.

Overall, I can’t say this is bad since the armor is very detailed. It also doesn’t wander too far from the original model, which we appreciated.

It is, however, unimpressive.

There are no new animations or vocal lines, therefore there are no extra points.

Wukong, the Jade Dragon

Jade Dragon Wukong Splash Art / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

On the 10th of January, 2012, the film was released. The price is 975 RP.

This skin is fantastic now.

It’s just slightly more expensive than General Wukong, but it’s much more impressive in terms of presentation.

With that shimmering green aura visible in his ability animations – most notably his ult – and that sick armor set appearing just as beautiful on the Rift, the in-game model fits the splash image fairly well.

Wukong’s position as a warrior trained in the powerful arts of the Wuju is shown in Jade Dragon Wukong, who seems and feels like a genuine monkey monk manslaughter-er.

However, there is another skin in Wukong’s arsenal that takes all of the same aspects and showcases them even more. This is why I personally rank the skin lower.

(Read on to find out what it is!)

If you’re searching for a low-cost skin, this one is a good choice.

However, if you want the finest skin, we should keep going.

Wukong Wukong Wukong Wukong Wukong Wukong Wukong Wukong W

Battle Academia Wukong Skin / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

On March 18th, 2021, the film will be released. 1350 RP is the price.

This was a true last-ditch attempt at a skin design, and it simply didn’t work for me.

It alters Wukong’s appearance, making him seem more like a high school kid than anything else, in violation of the “embrace monkey” concept.

The skin is also anime-inspired, with some cute stickers appearing at the conclusion of the W animation, which I didn’t like for as much as I expected.

The hoverboard homeguard animation and the backing animation are two of the most impressive animations in the skin.

However, the whole vibe of Battle Academia Wukong is a little wrong.

I’m sure there are some Wukong fans who like this skin, particularly considering how unusual it is. But for the time being, I’ll have to leave it in my rating.

I’ll rethink if they include a “omae wa mou shinderu” voice line after you use your W.

4. Wukong Volcano

Volcanic Wukong Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

Date of Publication: July 26th, 2011 The price is 975 RP.

This is another another excellent cheap skin, since it makes full use of Wukong’s lack of motion.

When it comes to this skin, as the name implies, fire is the name of the game, with flames erupting out of your head and both arms.

The remainder of the body is likewise damaged and burned, which makes for some interesting visual storytelling.

The basic animations for the Q, W, and E are all acceptable since Wukong’s kit isn’t very showy to begin with. However, I must admit that the ult was a little disappointing.

This skin would have gained one or two places if they had just added some flame particles to his ult.

However, it is now just three points short of the final three.

3. Wukong of the Underworld

Underworld Wukong Skin Splash Art / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

Date of Publication: October 28th, 2014 1350 RP is the price.

Wukong of the Underworld is edgy in all the best ways.

Wukong’s complexion is extremely black, and he resembles something the Mist spat up. With his greenish complexion, blue facial hair, fierce armor, and axe tail, he’s a unique design.

Yes, you read it right: the guy now has an axe tail.

His motions have also been darkened, with his W emitting a sinister chuckle and revealing a skull once it vanishes.

His backing motion, although not “poor,” paled in contrast to the other high-end skins, and the fact that he seems too happy for someone this wicked – even with the scary speech filter they applied – are the only major drawbacks here.

Overall, it’s a really professional and stylish skin that simply lacked the punch it needed to win the top position.

Lancer Stratus Wukong, No. 2

Lancer Stratus Wukong Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

The 4th of April, 2018 was the date of publication. 1350 RP is the price.

The splash image alone is worth buying this skin for.

Just take a look at that thing!

You seem to be an old machine that only comes to life once per century to rescue the world or something.

Galio, eat your heart out.

This skin is (surprise) equally as spectacular in-game, with lightsaber sound effects playing anytime you strike anything, as well as blue particle effects for your Q, E, and R keys.

With some sleek white-yellow armor on top and more mechanical blue equipment below, the character figure actually looks very dashing.

In addition, you use a little jetpack in your homeguard motion, which earns the skin a lot of extra points.

In terms of technicality, I think this is the finest Wukong skin available.

However, one skin stands out simply because of the concept it employs…

1. Wukong Radiant

Radiant Wukong Skin Splash Art / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

Date of Publication: January 27th, 2016 1350 RP is the price.

Radiant Wukong has the same feel as the basic skin, but it is superior in every aspect.

It turns up the volume on the Sun Wukong theme, making you appear and feel like a deity.

First and foremost, the skin has a vibrant yellow and orange color scheme that will bring back Dragon Ball Z memories you didn’t even realize you possessed.

As if that weren’t enough, a nimbus cloud appears in nearly every animation, including the conclusion of the W, your ult, your backing animation, and even your homeguard.

That last one is particularly amazing since it allows you to ride a nimbus cloud into combat, much like Goku did all those years ago.

Maybe it’s because the skin is the most god-like out there, or maybe it’s simply objectively the most attractive skin when considering Wukong’s history.

Whatever the case may be, this is my choice for Wukong’s best League skin.
